June 2024.
TPP is to begin 5 days of research and development kindly supported by the Liverpool Everyman Theatre.
Attachment, a new one woman play by Julia Cranney, follows scouser Mat in her journey from isolation to family. Based on writer Julia Cranney’s extensive research into the UK’s adoption system, it highlights an area of the care system “foster to adopt” or “early permanence” that is relatively unknown and under publicised amongst the general public. The play also examines ideas surrounding chosen family, identity, possessiveness and enduring love.
Directed by Julia Samuels, with Paislie Reid starring as Mat – the production is Commissioned and produced by Toby Parsons Productions with support from Adoption in Merseyside, focusing on shaping the production for a mainstage audience.
